Andy Hargreaves will be the keynoter at the fall Curriculum Leaders of Minnesota (CLM) conference.
The book notes from Hargreaves and Shirley in The Fourth Way are very relevant to the writings of Fullan and Hargreaves in Professional Capital.
We are entering a time when we as educators must be proactive. We have let politicians, business men and women, and the public bash us and make us question our skills as professionals. We DO have skill; we DO have knowledge about what works and what doesn't It's time we talk with each other and the greater communities about how to be proactive in educational design for the next generation. Hargreaves and Fullan give us a lot to think about and then we shape what we can each do in our settings to be proactive and not reactive.
It's an exciting time which makes one think of the ancient Chinese curse--"May you live in interesting times." But we are never bored and never without things to think about and do.
Hope this book gives you food for thought and language for good discussions!
